Had a naff weekend so far
I was driving down hill and noticed that the wheel was turning right under braking, got to the bottom of the hill and looked stop at the junction just then the car ground to a halt and wouldnt drive.
looked at the N/S wheel and it was right back against the wheel arch and pointing in at the top. I managed to push the car to one side so it was out od the way with the help of a friend.
Kwik Fit had done the tracking on that side the week before so i was cursing them while i wated for the AA. Had it taken to my local kwik fit depot, they had a look at it an identified the problem. A bolt has sheared off the subframe causing that front corner to collapse (probrbly due to worn bushes)
This kind of job is a little out of Kwik fits league so i had it recovered again to AlfaTec back home where it belongs.
When i got home i couildnt help but have a bit of a cry. Whisky has marveouls healing properties.
