Planned to take the Mrs to the isle of wight today, so we packed up our picnic gear and got the car ready,
We needed to get some fuel so at first we popped up the petrol station and i noticed changing gear was getting a bit funny within 5 mins of leaving my driveway, by the time i got to the petrol station, no clutch, i panicked, topped up the DOT4 while i was there incase the reservoir was empty, still no luck, i had to stop the car in a country lane, turn the ignition off, whack it in second gear and try to drive the car, after a few tries, i managed to pull away, we had to drive to my dads which was 5 miles away downhill in second gear doing nearly 50mph, screaming it's nuts off wasn't a nice feeling!
I managed to do the whole journey without stopping and stalling thank god!!!
Once we got it parked up at dads, it looks like the clutch cylinder seals have gone as there was a wet mess below it where it connects to the pushrod on the flywheel housing.
Driven all over southampton this afternoon to find a company that would have one in stock but to no avail, I'm absolutely Livid!!!
Anybody know a stockist of alfa parts in hampshire? i need the car ready for monday so this isn't going to happen im sure of it
