I have a 1997 spider where the injection warning light comes on momentarily giving a drop in power......this somethmes happens on bumpy roads any one got a similar problem or any ideas what it might be.
'fraid this isn't going to help you much, but at least you won't think we're all ignoring you!
Lots of GTV/Spiders seem to have trouble with the injection light flashing on. Unfortunately it seems to be difficult to track down the cause and can happen for a variety of different reasons.
I had a load of trouble with mine last year with the light coming on, although with no loss of power. After numerous trips to the garage and various tinkering it turned out to be a faulty airflow meter. The AFM does seem to be quite vulnerable on the GTV, particularly the V6 versions.
Might be worth asking your dealer/specialist to hook it up to the diagnostics and see if that shows anything. Good luck!!
Thanks for your help guys.....I will have a look over the engine bay and take your advise on the airflow meter......the local dealer isn'tmuch good I'm afraid and charges a whopping 75 euros an hour for diagnostics.
The last time I had it checked out he told me here was nothing wrong and there was me lookig at the light on while he told me and I was charged nearly 300 euro for the pleasure
