Valve Bouncing

Everytime i turn my car on it seems like the engine is strulling and wants to cut off, then holds its revs at 2000 rpm. After i have put my foot on the accelerator it calms down then starts to valve bounce between 1000 - 1500 rpm. This effects the way it drives as when i set off it has power then just seems to lose it.

Can anyone help me or give me advice

your valves aren't bouncing so dont worry about that, sounds like the idle control valve (ICV), its mounted on top of the throttle body, take it off, clean it out with carb cleaner , re fit and see how it goes, if that doesnt fix it then it could (amongst other things) be the maf, but try the cheap fix first, alfa call the ICV something odd like "idle control actuator" cant quite remember, anyway its a small unit on top of the throttle body with a circular feature on it.
