Dodgy MAF Connection
I've had an intermittent problem with my GTV V6 over the last couple of days. Injector light comes on, 2 second delayed response when pressing accelerator pedal at 2-3k revs as well as various other flatspots when accelerating. The light usually clears after 10 minutes or so and full power is available again with normal throttle response.
My first thought was MAF, tried jiggling around with the MAF, and it gets rid of the problem each time. It seems as though I have a bad connection somewhere near the MAF.
I can't actually see where the plug for the MAF is. Do I need to remove it from its housing first? Is the connector in there? Reading some other posts on the subject, I'd assumed that there is a sensor plug on the outside of the MAF.
If it's not the MAF, could it be a loose wire somewhere else? Perhaps on airbox or intake hose? The car runs sweetly with no obvious loss of power when the injector light is off. MAF was replaced recently.
Could someone point me in the right direction?
