Repairing/Replacing rear brake pipes!

Just got back from MOT centre, the tester was a miserable, grumpy sod Anyways, he obviously never got his oats and decided i would be his punch bag

Car failed on....... one side light bulb not working and rear brake pipes which are "corroded/pitted at ends of pipe into flare" & the other side "Corroded/pitted at nut leading into hose"

Is this a DIY job? If so can i just buy the pipes pre-made or is it a matter of having pipes fabricated?

Thanks as always

It's DIY, but depending on which ones he's on about it might be difficulty without a proper vehicle lift.

When I've needed pipes, I've taken the old ones up (or the rotten bits comprising the old pipes ) to the place doing the MOT and they've made them up to length. They don't usually charge me either.

Failing that, most factors will be able to make them to length for a few quid.

Don't forget to bleed the brakes afterwards!
