Alarm going off!!!!
Can anyone help a desperate and depressed Spider driver????
A month back the clutch pedal thingy went (as mentioned by many on this forum), but decided to get it fixed after we returned from holiday.
So on our return we open the car up and the alarm starts going off, boot trips open and hazards are all over the place. Much fuss and embarassment as I disconnect the battery!!!
We've never set the alarm with the alarm fobs for years as it was too sensitive (we live right on the sea and the wind would rock the alarm on) and both alarm fobs have sort of melted into the casings and can't seem to be activated (on or off)!!!!!
Towed car to local garage who have done the clutch for under £100 but they're struggling to sort out the alarm issue.
I have "master key" and the code card, so will they be able to turn off the alarm with this????
If not, any other advice before I drive it in to the sea with the hazards and alarms going off????
PS If anyone wants a 10 year old Alfa with 70,000 on the clock with an alarm that goes off regularly, then I suppose that would solve the problem as well LOL.
