GTV with noisy clutch bearing clutch

Hi all,

I'm looking at purchasing a GTV but have been told it has a noisy clutch bearing.

My questions are:

1. What does this mean in plain English?
2. Will it affect the running of the car?
3. What is the rough cost of repair?

Thanks for any advice.

1. The bearing that activates the clutch is knackered.(noisy means its on its last legs)
2. yep as it will fail and you won't be able to change gear.
3. Thats a gearbox out job so expect a reasonable bill there. Clutch between 100-200 and labour of a couple of hundred I'd say.
