cda induction kit fior V6
when i bought my car I could see it had a big old K&N on the end of the induction pipe. Not too impressed as I would have thought that would have sucked up a fair lump of warm air when the engine bay is up to temp.
I was going to make a diy induction lit out of a tuperware box to house the K&N and a tumble drier hose to the valance air intake... but to my surprice below the K&N there is a CDA induction kit already installed. I cant getmuch info on the kit apart from the rather extortionate price they sell for. I gather the element is washable but wash with what and does the filter need oiling or is it foam? Access is a bit restricted whilst installed so cant see even how to take the canister apart.
Why if someone put a CDA on the engine would they go back to a K&N??? unless they are not any good???
Any one with experience of a cda on a V6 . to get it back working I have to make up a link up pipe to the existing inake from the CDA. Is it going to be worth the efffort or stick with the K&N?
