Which performance filter ?

Hi Guys,

Simple question.......

Foam Pipercross filter or K&N cotton/paper.

Which is the better?

Personally I`d err towards a dry filter rather than an oiled one,, Autodelta do one for about the same price as K&N/Pipercross.

(By recent accounts its not that cool red one with the logo on though,, )

I've just replaced my standard filter with a BMC Superflow replacement filter for my twinny, ok i don't have the induction roar that i would with an induction kit but she's a lot more responsive and breathes a lot better.
I got it for £26.00 inc VAT with a healthy trade discount but retai forl around £45.00, K&N do a smilar filter but the feedback semmed to be in favour of the BMC.

Personaly I wouldnt even bother with one. After market filters let small stones and things enter the engine which can cause loads of problems. Not worth the hassle just for a slightly nicer noise that you wont even notice if you have a nice enough exhaust system. You wont even notice a performance increase. Stick to the stock m8 imo.

There is not much between them or the BMC panel filter, all offer additional engine protection and small power increase. Work out cheaper than the O/E version in the long run.
