Toot toot

Don't worry, I'm not lost. I want to know how feasible a GTV is with a 5 year old as a back seat passenger. He's quite tall for his age, but then mama is very very sexy, but a little on the short side

We need to be able to do decent runs with him in the back so if it's a non-starter I'd appreciate a pointer.

Cheers people

If he uses a booster type seat, then it's very feasible. The extra height of the seat keeps their legs out of the rear footwell area that in reality is taken up by the front seat. if they sit straight on the rear seat, thats no good.

Both my children used to be regular passengers in the back. I even did the school run at times with a neighbour's child in addition to my youngest.

My eldest was about 9 and the youngest 4 when we got the car but they're far too big to fit now.

Because of the lack of depth to the squab, it is difficult getting a booster seat in there though which I seem to recall is mandatory these days.

It also depends on who is in the front and how far they have the seats back.

G, you can get everyone and everything into the car if you want to

me and the ex used to go out in the GTV with her son who was almost 3 and still in a full kiddy seat in the back behind the passenger seat. it was a squeeze but it was manageable so i dont think you will have many problems with just a booster seat

My 10 year old daughter sits straight on the rear passenger side seat with no problems. And an adult can sit in the front passenger seat with no problems! But, my 5 year old son who has to sit behind me on his booster seat, has to cross his legs up onto his booster to really be comfortable. As for my 4 week old daughter here seat doesnt even fit into the car! Although here pram does fit into the boot!

Good luck!
