Over-adjusted handbrake


Thought this tale would be worth telling... I took the GTV (Ph1) for it's MOT today (it passed, thanks for asking ), but it was originally going to be failed on the o/s handbrake performance.

I'd changed the rear pads yesterday, and adjusted the handbrake cable at the lever to bring the bite point down a bit.

Turns out I'd over-adjusted it though. After a quick chat with the tester (who'd originally suggested a replacement calliper), followed by a few turns of the adjuster to slacken it off, and a pump of the brake pedal, it was a-ok.
