Well Happy Alfaholics day at Castle combe-APRIL

Hi All
Just thought i would mention a super day on Sat 10 April at Castle Combe race circuit

Apart from all the Alfa's on display we were able to take our own road cars on the track and we had 4 wonderful laps
The freedom to just put your foot down and fly was teriffic and in my 3.0 gtv cup it was a day to remember

You do not realize just how good the engine in this car is
the acceleration was amazing to be able to hold it to the limit then change to top and still keep going--amazing------

I thank those concerned and hope they read this as this was the 1st time i have visited the Alfaholics day-it will not be the last

I understnd the Cotswold section had a lot to do with this day
For all of you who are into Alfa's this is a good few hours of fun and you always meet nice people at Alfa meetings- i met few and maybe made a new friend or two
And to see the wonderfull Alfa's from different years was really good

Hello there!

Glad you enjoyed the opportunity to "stretch" the car a bit. These things like a bit of a thrash and it's nice to be able to do this without attracting unwanted attention from The Law.

There were a few photographers in attendance so if you google "Alfaholics Trackday" you may get lucky and find a few of yourself. There are some nice ones here-

Picasa Web Albums - Wayne - Alfaholics 10...

Not sure if he took many of the cars on the parade laps but you never know!

Mine's the black Alfa 75 with the Alfaholics sticker in the windscreen (I was the "official taxi").

The day is organised by Alfaholics for our customers, this year was the ninth (ten year anniversary next year!) and I've done seven of them, either as a customer or organiser now. The Cotswolds Section of the AROC (am I allowed to mention this here?) always run a convoy down to take in the sights and do the parade laps but this is independent of us.

I got an invite to the day from Andrew - would have loved to have gone but couldn't organise childcare. Instead I am going to Oulton Park in July with Cloverleaf Club.
