Swapping to a different Alfa steering wheel?

I was sitting in the car today enjoying one of Birmingham's best traffic jams and started to look around the inside of the car.

It occured to me that most of the interior hadn't really dated that much and still looked fairly modern - except the awful steering wheel!

I don't want a fancy Momo version or anything like that but I really wouldn't mind swapping it for one of those more modern Alfa wheels - like the one from the 147 or late 156's.

Does anyone know of the two are interchangeable?

Before the days of airbags if a steering wheel fitted you could just bolt it on!! But these days i recon any insurance company dealing with a motor claim for any injury will look with glee if the steering wheels been changed. They do anything to avoid paying out or reduce costs.
