Picked up my V6 yesterday and it is everything I expected it to be.
However, the belt situation is a little worrying.
I have a receipt from last November for a belt change from a non-specialist at 75793 miles.
But it seems it is just that; a belt change. Itemised parts are timing belt (£40.44) plus labour and VAT - £482.58 total.
No mention of tensioners, idlers, aux. belt, water pump etc.
It's done 78214 miles now, so only a couple of thousand on this new belt, but I can see no mention of any other belt changes in the service history, so suspect everything but the new belt is original.
I'm going to have to get the lot changed aren't I?
What am I looking at - £600?
Anyone in the North West (Rochdale), have the tools and experience to earn some beer tokens?
