am loving my GTV
Got it Sat 13th Morning and have been driving it over the weekend.
Now as a reminder it is a T plate, 13 years old and has done 93000 miles
Initial impression wow what a colour and shape but I knew that already
Now I will say again this car is 13 years old and with all the horror stories out there you have to wonder sometimes why a sane adult person would invest hard earned cash in a car like this.
It drives amazingly!!! Ok the power is not mind bendingly up there but it is more than enough to put a smile on a persons face. The wheels are 17s and non standard so there is a little tramlining with the roads round here but nothing I can not live with. The steering is so light that I am amazed it is like driving a go cart with a decent steering set up.
A couple of niggles The radio antenna is a powered unit but the antenna is broken so even though you can here the motor running to raise and lower nothing happnes, this will be sorted soon. The drivers window has been replaced in the past and I suspect that it is not exactly the correct size as there is not a perfect fit when window is up and you can hear the wind alot. When I close the door after I get out I have to give the window a firm shove at teh top to make the window go into the rubber seal and have noticed that the back of the window only just reaches the rear rubber seal so I thing that it is 1/4 inch too small. Again something I can live with but I will resolve the matter as I am not sure about what may happen in bad weather etc.
Full leather interior in a tan/orange cover will momo seat looks cool but could do with a little tlc to buff up the leather. Carpets look mint.
Couple of general questions
I have noticed that the temp gauge stays about 50 is this correct? as if I am in traffic it then goes up to 90 but not much higher so am assuming yes
When I start up the car there is a warning light which does disappear. It looks like a shock absorber I think and is red - can someone tell me what this is?
All in all a very very VERY satisfied new owner!
