The full synpsis, this is where I am - stuck.
The TS Passenger is now open to the elements in an attempt to solve the Locking Problem, but I'm getting nowhere.
The quick fix I hoped it would be, Bowden Cable, problem, is not the cause of it.
I've disconnected the two Solenoid Plugs, this enables the Drivers door to work properly so I suppose that's something.
I was hoping to mechanically dis connect the Solenoid from the Lock but there doesn't seem to be enough space to remove the hook from the eye. Doing this would eliminate a seized Solenoid but I really don't think this is the problem.
The whole thing acts like it thinks that the door is open, both the push button rod and the key lock are very stiff to push/turn and don't want to move at all.
I'm leaning towards a problem with the Lock Unit itself, the bit with the claws on that latches with the Post on the B pillar to hold the door closed. To be honest I'm a little bit frightened to try and remove this right now, could end up even worse of, and if it's broke it's broke.
I did find a small bit of green plastic and a small bit of black plastic, both obviously broken, inside the door. Also found a right angle spring clip. No idea if any of these are anything to do with the problem, the door has been bodged by some one before me as at least one screw is missing, I suspect that this was done during the radio fit.
So, right now I'm a bit stuck, not sure whether to progress with any further strip down, courage is failing me !
