gtv cutting out and all the dash light come on

hello all,

started my 2005 gtv 2.0 jts this morning, started driving to work and i noticed that the radio turned its self off and on again. did nt think any thing of it until the engine started cutting out intermitently. The engine light , hand brake and abs light cam on and stayed on. managed to limp in to work. then the hazards started flashing and the alarm went off while the engine was running!. So i turned the engine off. Then turnrd the key to start it again , and there was nothing. no dash lights no click. nothing. dead.being an alfa owner i was alright till this point .But this was starting top worry me ! lol

any way tyook the key out and put it back in , and it stared normally.

and i suspect it will do this all again later when i try to drive it.

and clues anyone?
it just had a major service too. cam belt , tensioner and full services and systems check.

im thinking either the ecu, or a loose earth or multi connector.

It might be worth resetting the ecu by unhooking the battery for 10 - 15 minutes. This has always worked for me when things get a wee bit too flashy. Bit like rebooting your PC

It's a good place to start in any case

Check the battery terminal connections are tight.
