GTV Phase 2 V6

accelerating flat spot

hi guys,

i need some advice...

my spider 2.0 1999 has a low idle and while accelerating hard flats out while at higher revs.

for example through second to third and even fourth at approx 4000revs. it dips out the comes back again. after a while it stops and is fine.

havent had the car long and been on 4/5 "fun type" journeys and three times this has happened!

i have looked through lots of posts on here and from what i gather it could be one of approx a million things!

most lightly, from what i read it could be, lamda (flat spot/poor idle), MAF, plugs (poss also leads) and/or air filter.

help guys, need your brains!
thank youfor your time,

Finally have some Siena's!

I was about to start a thread that mirrors your problem on my 2001 GTV 2.0, literally all the symptoms are the same so I'd also be interested you guys opinions.

Had this on my twinny. Turned out to be splits in the intake hose, underneath it so you have to take it off to see them

I had a Diag test done and the only thing that came back was an issue with the o2 sensor (which is the Lambda I've heard) could this have anything to do with it?

I'm booked in for Autolusso's 'Saturday Surgery' at the weekend so hopefully chat with the guys there about it.
