I did my springpans over xmas, though I just polybushed and painted the arms, rather than buy a recond set. (£10 for some metal paint, £50 for the powerlflex bushes, £3 for a knotted wire angry grinder brush - much more wallet friendly than £400
Though the trailing arms? had already been powerflexed by a previous owner.
Removing is a case for brute force, the big nut that holds everything to the hub is very tight..
Re-fitting requires slightly more guile,, its possible to snap the inner mounting point on the subframe.. not good!
I found there was no way the powerflex bush would fit, it was about 2mm too wide, and trying the coax it in with a trolley jack just started distorting the bush. So I ground off a slight amount (less than 1mm) off each side using a grinding disk (creates an interesting candy-floss all over the surrounding area
Then with liberal amounts of copper grease eased it in using a trolley jack. Took a few gos to get it all lined up. Was definiitely the worst bit.
Also wiorth doing while you are there is un-seize the track rods on the rear hubs, you should get the alignment done after and access is poor even with the wheel off.. I found it required removing from the car and clamping in a vice and heating up to free it off.
