It really ruins the handling when it gets caught in the wheels too..

I tried mine this weekend.... Absolutely Amazing the difference it makes! especially in keep the cabin atmosphere warm... I don't have the bracket to fit under the hood cover, so just cut a small rectangle of hard sponge and squeezed it in the of the deflector and the carpet... Got to get around to making a bracket... btw, anyone got the measurements for one?

all the best,

Spider Lusso

I bought one of these, paid £145 last year

very good quality and the difference is amazing! like others have said massive difference in wind buffetting from the back and much quieter.

fitting was simple, the hardest part is drilling 2 holes about 10mm diameter which you bolt a 'socket' for the sprung lug on each side of the deflector to pop into to hold it in place.
removal/fitting takes seconds - pop up the roof cover, pull back the lugs and the deflector can be taken out/put in.

If you want any photos, i'll post them

Just caught up with this thread.
Would not be without mine.

My retired neighbour has a Fiat Barchetta. He is a retired ships engineer and has made a very clever wind deflector - with a flick of a button - it goes up and down - making the choice simple.
It is invisible to passersby unlike the Spider which hangs over the rear cover.
I will try to get some info from him - he has started to manufacture them - also for MG.

I will ask him to look at my Spider and come back on this.
