Pesky yellow EOBD warning light again!

Hi there

After having to jump start my GTV last week due to the battery running out of juice, I have driven the car all week fine, now this afternoon the damned yellow peril warning light has come on again.

I have already been backwards and forwards to an "approved" Alfa aftersales dealer and they cant find anything wrong.

What exactly does the yellow light mean, and should I be worried?

Alfa handbook says EOBD warning light comes on permanently due to problems with electronic ignition system, and long term could cause damage to the car, but doesnt specify what

Of course, I was very, very drunk

When jump starting, never have the igniton ON, when connecting up the leads, as this can cause voltage spikes within the Engine ECU, if severve then this can lead to the OBD light to illuminate. The OBD light comes on when the engine ECU detects a fault. I would not be too worried if you jump start without the ignition ON

The KEY symbol will illuminate if the imobilliser (CODE) has been trigged or there is a fault within the CODE system.
