Thanks for the Hi Joey! It was a bit rude of me to not say Hi back.
I like the red leather interiors. Good luck.
I'm not sure how much difference there would be between a £3K and a £2K GTV V6? It's all a bit of a lottery isn't it? How many of those listed in the classifieds or Autotrader at between £2,500 and £3K get negotiated downwards nearer to £2K?
Service histories can be fabricated. It's true, so if you buy one at £2K or less and it needs work at least you know it's been done and who did it? It's unlikely you'll get a perfect car for £2K-£3K and that would apply to cars of any other marque too.
It's a gamble buying on eBay but if you know what you're looking at and take a mate that knows or will stop your heart overriding your head?
List the big jobs? Cambelt? Clutch? Rear suspension and bushes? Is the diff about to fail?
You can buy a used car from a dealer, pay £200 or so getting the RAC or AA to check it out and things will still go wrong, but if they spot some big jobs they may get fixed by the dealer before you hand over the cash.
eBay like the great unsustainable property price bubble that Brown gambled the country on shows that anything is worth only as much as someone is prepared to pay?
