David C calculated the offset was wrong by 12mm (when was DC last wrong), so i'm 3mm further out than that, car doesnt look lowered (crossed my mind) plenty of space above tyre so i'm baffled.
How was this calc'd? you really need to measure the wheels, physically.
Measure from the mounting surface of the wheel to the inner rim on both sets of wheels, the difference between the two will give you the spacer size required to correct the offset accurately.
There's no other way to do it.
As the tyres size is clearly not an issue, it has to be the offset causing a problem, usually a manufacturer will stick to the same offset on all their wheels...usually
silly question, definitely genuine Alfa wheels??
Sometimes the offset is stamped on the inside of the wheel (ie back of the spokes)
dont get confused looking at 6.5J, 7.5J, 7J as these are rim widths not the offsets.
A 147 should run a 7J as standard, and a GTV should run a 6.5J.....
