Guy's everyone talks about fudged grease and bad contacts between the motor, i have had this problem with all my GTV's & Spiders and it always shows its face usually autumn/winter time. To cure it, remove wipers (Undo nuts, bonnet popped and working from below lift arm and use palm of other hand to shove the lower part of arm and free it, remove wiper motor( can be difficult but don't give up as it goes in easier than it comes out) disconnect electrical connections from loom (Bar connection from bottom - same as AirflowMeter etc)
Now to restore your motor on all settings, remove black cylinder cover from motor and clean all the dust and contamination from magnets and copper spool. Next, have a look at the electrical connections for the motor to the loom (2) If you notice the teeth on the motors electrical contact blue/grey colour, then grab a strip of emery paper and shine them up, i put a dab of dialectic grease for good measure and my wipers always (Fingers crossed) work on all settings perfectly!
