Speedo issues...something electrical?
After reading all the threads of the people that had or still have the same issues as me I still don't know what the hell is wrong or/and how to fix it...
What's happening is that the speedo is going crazy, but only under certain "circumstances": when the engine is warmed up and when the heating is on (on 1 or higher) and sometimes when I brake (when the brake lights come on or the side indicators). The speedo goes down to zero and goes up again whe I turn the heating ventilaton off. When the side indicators are turned on the speedo dropps everytime the lights blink...But this doesn't happen as often as when turning on the heating.
So, I figured, it can't be a loose earth from the battery (where is it anyway?), the battery is brand new (bought a new one 3 months ago, a 70Ah 640). I had to replace a faulty rear ABS senzor with a brand new one (the ABS light was on).
I haven't checked the fuses in the rear next to the demister and fuel pump or whatever that is back there - if one had blown, the car would probably not even start or turn over...
The thing that bugs me the most is that tha battery goes allmost flatt after a couple of days when the car isn't used. I have no alarm, so that can't be the problem. The alternator is OK, I had it checked by an electrician. I do have a Xenon HID kit 6300K installed, but do you think that this could be the problem? They come on normal and all other electrical things work normal.
So what the hell is wrong?
