Not quite the way you'd expect, I didn't manage to lock my keys in the car in a comical manner, but something thats worrying me quite a bit.
Basically, tonight was the first time I've used my car in roughly a week, and as I pressed the central locking button to unlock the car, the car unlocked (unsurprisingly) but as I pressed down on the door button to open the door, the button remained in the depressed position and refused to return upwards and the door remaind locked.
After putting the key into the lock to jiggle it loose, the button popped up but the door remained welded shut. After three or four attempts, the door eventually opened, but the button remained jammed down, and then the door refused to shut, the mechanism refused to lock against the striker plate.
In my frustration of jiggling about the key about in the lock to try pop the thing open, I managed to catch the central locking button on the fob. Which then flashed the lights but didn't arm the alarm
Eventually after some choice expletives and a bit of luck, I managed to get the door shut and securely shut.
Went to the cinema with my other half, got out and all locked fine and dandy. I put it down to the sh*te weather and just how cold its been.
Came out after a hour and a half or so, to find the car was doing the same. Doors refused to open and the door buttons were jamming down and refusing to return to the original position.
At this point I was beginning to freeze and again, after some choice expletives and a bit of luck, I managed to get both doors open and we were on our way.
Then upon returning home, the central locking is now refusing to arm?!
I've had to lock each door manually as the fob is not dropping the locks??!
If anyone can understand this babbling and help diagnose what the hell is wrong it'd be much appreciated. I don't fancy being locked out every five minutes if it gets a little cold.
Any help is going to be massively appreciated.
