Lately I decided to delve into the issues with clutch movement (i.e creaking noise and rough feel). After taking out the air hose and getting access to the clutch slave cylinder I tested the clutch and it seems the creaking is coming from inside the clutch housing below the control arm connected to the slave and not from the cylinder itself as I hoped. Although the clutch is a year and a half old I'm a little disappointed it has gone already. My guess is the bearing or a spring has been damaged in some way.
I have yet to check with the garage that fitted the clutch (I looking into it today) but would I be liable for damage? Would I be entitled for replacement under warranty? I have a feeling warranty on clutches is 2 years or so.
To err is human, but you need an Alfa to really screw things up!
The road to heaven is paved with old Alfa's.
