Mask "properly" (BIG TIME MASK - Loads of brown paper so no paint gets into the cabin or surrounding area and make sure the edges around the logo are firmly stuck down) and spray paint with a can of auto lacquer. Use a plastic primer first (white for light colours, grey for dark) to protect the plastic from the lacquer and then a coat of silver or whatever colour you want. A couple of light dust coats and then a thicker wet coat moving in fast strokes. Model paints are no good unless you use enamel paint but the curing time is about 7 to 10 days before it hardens and becomes resistant to impacts/scratches. But whatever you do, spray painting is the only way to end up with a good result.
