Stupid question.. V6 Clutch biting point
Ever since I bought my GTV it has seemed a little reluctant to slip into 1st gear when stationary.
I wasn't sure what was causing this, so as the problem was not too great I have lived with it.
However last night I parked the car in gear, when I went to depress the clutch and move the car out if gear it was stuck in gear. Rather like the clutch was not disengaging fully and have concluded that this is related to my getting in gear when stationary problem..
I have bled the slave in the past and no air came out, so I am wondering why this may be the case.
Also when I bought the car it was fitted with a brand new genuine clutch kit before I picked it up.
The car does not creep in gear and the clutch bites about half way up the pedal travel. I remember all of my other V6 cars clutches biting nearer the top of the pedal travel.
Where do other V6 cars clutches bite?
I am wondering whether I have a hydraulic issue or maybe the clutch wasn't fitted correctly. (Which wouldn't be a suprise)
You will never be cool driving a Vauxhall.
