It is known the alarms can cause false activations. Try deactivating your alarm, do you have a META alarm (seperate fob/plib) or an ALFA alarm (intergral fob/plip to key)?
To deactivate the META alarm, you need to access the alarm ECU, this lives in the centre console behind the radio. Gain access by removing the centre console side panel and you should see a black box inside marked either M99TFA or M99T2, remove the fuses that you will see on the box, this will deactivate the META alarm. You will lose the REMOTE central locking function.
To deactivate the ALFA alarm you need to access the alarm ECU that lives under the bonnet, on the offside plastic cowl, you will see a small removable plastic cover, remove this an you should be able to see the ECU, there should be a key operated switch, this is to turn the alarm on/off, the key required is circular in shape, failing this you can remove the plastic cowl and completly disconnect the ECU.
