ABS Diag Connector Location ????

Hello again,

At my wits end with my ABS fault.....previous post unanswered so trying to break the problem down....

I have a 98 P1 3.0 24v with Bosch 5.3 ABS.....workshop manual speaks of numerous connectors ( T8 T1 T20 ) without making it clar which one I should use or where it is....

Here are some photos of what I think if the ABS diagnostic connector ( red-yellow-black connector )....can anyone confirm if this is the correct one ???

Surprised nobody has answered this for you by now. Not that I may be of any help either, but I thought the ABS plug was under one of the seats??? Sorry if this is a red herring.....

Have you checked ALL the ABS fuses?

Do a search on the forum for ABS problems. I don't know what symptoms you have but there is an ABS fuse 10 amp I think that lives above the fuse box. It's behind a black plastic cage type thing with 5 other fuses.

All the best

Yes , that is the abs diagnostic plug, it uses a separate ecu connector as it's an early one.
The engine ecu connector is in the car, abs connector under the bonnet as you have shown.
What problem do you have?
I may be able to help but chances are that you'll prob have a front sensor fault, dirt on sensor, air gap , pick up ring dirty or corroded or faulty sensor.
I can give you specs and tests to carry out with a multimeter to check.
