Sid...Check the track rod ends for play as well. We have found that even the slightest wear can lead to wandering and it is exacerbated by having lovely new front wishbones and arms. The easiest way to check is to leave the car on the ground, get a freind (or wife/partner/bribeable child) to turn the steering wheel from side to side (quarter of a turn will do) whilst you lean under the wheel arch and grab the TRE so that you can feel the rubber grommett between the swivel end and the stub axle carrier. If there is any play, you will feel it and sometimes even hear it.
If you replace them (easy job) get the steering geometry checked afterwards. Counting the turns as you take the old ones off will NOT do.
