GVT Alarm issues

Hi Alfa peeps.

My alarm won't switch off/deactivate. It was set off when my battery was too low, which I've read here happens. Thing is I've changed the battery but the alarm still won't quit! It stops when I close/lock everything but starts it's impression of a rave as soon as I open the door.

I can't deactivate the alarm from a fob device as it doesn't have one (Meta alarm?)

I know that if I leave the car with everything locked the alarm is supposed to reset after 10 mins, but mine isn't... my neigbours are getting a little 'aggie' about the noise... and I can't blame them.

With the exception of ripping out and re-installing a new alarm system (again, have seen this as a solution offer on the forum) is there anything I've missed?

maybe worth taking the battery off and leaving it for 30 mins.

or otherwise there is the meta alarm box under the centre consol, if you take the carpet of the passengerside you can just disconnect it, ,might just get you away until you get a new one
