As per the title really!! when i go to start the car it gives off a eggy fart smell!! i have checked my feet for dog do! checked under the bonnet for dead birds and nothing! not the usually farm smell either and it has been happening for the last few days!! Not sure if its the g/friend!i guess it could be!!!
any ideas?!could it be linked to the aircon as it usually comes on when i start it!
Joey...basically what symon says. When I first bought my neighbours car for her (red GTV 2.0 litre....Have you joined yet Becky?), it had the same problem and we found that there waqs a slight leak between the two middle exhaust boxes. The smell was coming up past the handbrake gaiter which was not quite seated properly. Next time you get the smell stick yer 'ooter by the handbrake and inhale!
Or you could just get the exhaust checked.....And don't buy your petrol from the Tesco's by the M5 at Taunton.
JOey...coz i used to come off the M5 there for fuel as it was so much cheaper than ON the motorway. Supermarket fuel has been tested many times by many different magazines, car clubs, organisations etc and the general concensus of opinion is that it is higher in sulphates than say BP or Shell.
Sainsburys not Tesco.....I stand corrected.
ooo interesting! But only last night i was gonna post something along these lines as i bought £30 of Shell V-power and my car goes like stink now! It was feeling a little lumpy at low revs but after putting that in it responds so much better. £1.19 a litre isnt cheap but definatly worth it. I thought against it as there are quite a few long threads about this and it always gets mixed views! noone agrees!!
definatly worth coming off the M5 to top up,and agree on the motorway prices, its ludricrous some of their prices...Dont even get me started on things like water and sandwiches!!!crazy!
