Right have just come back from AlfaTech this morning, got to say the guys are really helpfull and i was shown around the car whilst the health check was being carried out and everything was explained and shown to me.
so the result:
Will be needing a new clutch, the one i have at the moment requires a bionic leg to press it in so have booked this in for 28th of this month to get sorted, am also get the auxillary belt replaced as this was cracking slightly on the edges.
Cost: £45 per hour labour, 5 hours = £225 + Vat (39.37) = £264.37
clutch: £192.45 + Vat (33.68) = £226.12
Total cost for clutch:£490.49
Regarding the slighlty fluctuating idle, they did not put this down to the cam belt, as this would have been more pronouced if there was an arror with the cam belt. Instead, pointed towards the Air intake pipe, the bendy bit towards the top, has tape around each of the creases, and they suggested that this may have some slight cracks in it which are letting excess air in an fluctuating the idle, so worth looking at that Symon to see if you have any cracks or tape around the bend, common problem apparently. £110.58 + Vat no charge on labour.
Injeciton light - This has not been showing up when the key is turned to 'MAR' so they ran a diagnostic check and this came back fine which suggested a new bulb is required. New bulb £30 + Vat
Camblet was done at 60,000 miles, however no way of properly checking unless it is fully stripped down, quoted £600 plus VAT for Camblet and water pump.
So thats it overall, bit of a blow as i bought the car on Saturday for £2850, with no apparent problems. Apart from all that the car is mint, so now just need to budget each month what i need to get done.
End of this month will be getting the cluthc and Aux belt changed, Come christmas might treat myself to a new cambelt. Just on the subject of cambelts, my friend is a mechanic, so i guess he could do it, or is a specilaist job for this vehicle, any advice appreciated.
