You know the feeling when you think this wouldn't happen to me scenario, but it did!
Went to the shop in the car, came out and put key in ignition, and the car would not start. CODE LIGHT stuck on.
Moved the key around and it worked. However, i didn't want this to happen again and started searching for decode specialist. They remove the ID in the ECU which talks to the code box. It basically ignores the code box and allows you to start the car without it looking at the code in the key.
So currently my ECU and Code box are away for the operation.
I will let you all know how i get on next week as i am sure you might want to have this done at some point.
Note:- I have replaced all the relays etc in the drivers side wing aswell. I have a thatcham cat alarm fitted anyway so my insurance will not be affected.
