Weird "THUMPING NOISE" 1996 GTV 2.0 T Spark
I purchased a 1996 2.0L GTV T Spark a couple of months ago.
Since I've had it there has been a strange thumping noise. ....Let me ellaborate.
When i driving straight (i.e. not turning) the noise is there. When I turn the steering wheel right it gets worse. When I turn the steering wheel left the noise goes away completely.
I've so far done the following to the car since I've had.
1. Changed left CV Joint.
2. Changed Left Wheel bearing.
3. Full cambelt change (seemed a good idea as car is 13 years old and has 113k miles on it!)
I'm at a point where Im just thinking I'd rather not be spening 50 here, 100 there on part after part not solving the noise issue (which is bloody annoying!).
Now or a 13 year old car, changing the front left wheel bearing and cv joint certainly cant hurt.
I've spoked to a few people. "They" are the ones who initially seemed to think quite strongly it was the cv joint and possibly wheel bearing which is why I of course changed them.
Now things I'm being told are possibly front or rear suspension, tyres, or something called a diff?
I don't really know much about cars I'm ashamed to say but will somebody please try and help me diagnose what this cars noise issue is.
