clutch slave cylinder

Well after a year of owning the car the clutch slave cylinder died. When i bought the car the brake warning light was on.. fixed it with some switch cleaner.. or maybe not (went away miraculously for a couple of weeks... and came back on again), then topped up the brake fluid; light went off again. I had a bit of leaking oil.. or maybe not. As I found out it's actually brake fluid leaking from the clutch slave cylinder. So it finally went.

Had it fixed at Webbs autoservice in Johnsonville. Excellent guys and really good job. I got the part myself for $200 (~GBP66), and then $70 (~GBP25) labour.

Highly recommend them to anyone with an Alfa in Wellington.

Sounds like a good price. Be thankful it wasn't a 156/147/etc. The slave cylinder is in the bell housing and changing it means taking the gearbox out
