Brake Lights Not Sensitive Enough?
First let me start by saying I am a complete novice when it comes to car mechanics - I can change a battery, replace a fuse or swap the odd light bulb here and there and thats about it - but there are quite a few little things wrong with my 2001 GTV and I'm being brave and tackling them myself (also tired of paying the local mechanic's mortgage!)
The one that has me stumped is my brake lights, if a push hard on the pedal they work fine however under most normal road braking conditions the lights don't come on at all. Now I assume this has something to do with the switch at the pedal which I have disconnected played with and reconnected without any result, does anyone know how to adjust the sensitivity of this switch? or am I even on the right path?
Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere though I couldn't find a similar problem in other threads.
Any assistance much appreciated.
