Both drive pretty much the same, but with one difference.
On the 6 speed you get a lower RPM at cruising speeds, which potentially means better fuel consumption when cruising.
My First GTV was a 6 speed, and my current one is a 5 speed. If everything was equal I would choose the 6 speed, but I would rather have a good 5 speed car than an iffy 6 speeder if that makes sense?
Both the 5 and 6 speed versions come with a DMF, as far as I know it is the same part for both boxes.
The Q2 diff also fits the 5 and 6 speed versions.
You will never be cool driving a Vauxhall.
