black gtv 2.0ts at ashley jordan cars atcham nr shrewsbury
i went to have a look at this car at lunch time as its only down the road and i have been after a cheap gtv for the mrs
its been stuck at this garage for ages and i did speak to the salesmen when it first got there but as he wouldn't budge on price i didn't even go and see it.
bit bored today and thought as its still there i would take a look and see if he will let it go a bit cheaper.
dont even bother looking
the front has had a bad respray
the wheels are poor
needs new discs and pads
needs full cambelt service
it only has 1 key
there is no service history just a few receipts
the car is covered in small scratches
the engine rattles and sounds terrible
small amount of mayo in the oil cap
1 of the receipts was for a cambelt change but they had managed to spell alfa incorrectly so i doubt it has been done correctly (was done at 80,000 miles) car now on 110,000
mad i know, went to look for a clio for the mrs at action, ended up returning with black 1999 gtv, paid 1000 for it spent 1000 on cam belt, discs and pads, full service, full valet inside and out wheel refurb. looks good. could have bought a real dog though. lucky as i didnt see car before i bought it 113k on clock???? but thought what the hell!
bit harsh gents. I cant see a dealer selling it for much less. They gotta make some money too. He might have done a part Ex on it for 1.5 K. In which case you can understand 2K.
remember this forum holds all the GTV lovers and owners etc.. and we know a lot about what the cars worth etc.. but to joe public 2k might seem good.
Not harsh, he needs to be aware of the market, and this guy obviously isn't (or chooses not to be). When that type of 'niavety' (some would say stupidity, I say greedity ) impacts the buyer (and there maybe someone out there who can be cajoled by the dealer into buying it; his on-line advert is obviously tuned to someone who knows not a lot about cars.....) then his business ceases to be fair.
