You really need the Alfa manual, the easily accessible adjusters in the Alfaworkshop guide are really only for fine tuning, they move the complete runner assemblies in or out ! Sometimes you can be lucky and get it right with them, but if you adjust them so that the top of the glass sits tight chances are that a gap is created elsewhere. The only way it seems is to start from scratch, door card etc off and all the clamps loosened. However, I can't claim to be an expert, I still have noise on drivers side after repeated attempts, and even a new door seal. I think the only real fix is the one that Alfa themselves introduced, i.e. the drop mechanism which my car doesn't have. With the windows correctly adjusted, the pressure in the car cause the drivers side window to "pop" and sit on top of the seal when closing the door, which it doesn't do if the passenger window is open. Be prepared for lengthy fiddling and frustration.
