Phases 1,2, & 3 ?

As a relative AR newbie ......what defines the "phases" of the Spider? Mine's a 2004 Lusso - is this a phase 3?
Incidentally, I was in Sardinia on holiday last week and despite seeing thousands of AR's, only saw ONE Spider!! What's up with those Italians??

Phase 3 was the change to the big nose.
So yes your 2004 car should be a Phase 3.

The biggest changes

Phase 1 - non painted sill covers and lower bumpers, no central arm rest, black centre console,

Phase 2 - Body coloured sill covers and lower bumpers, silver insert on centre console, arm rest between seats

Phase 3 - Front end revamp, grille elongated and incorporated into front bumper and front number plate off-set ala 156/gt/147 style

within some of these models there are some small changes within the individual years

Anyone know if you can transplant the silver P2 console into a P1 (I prefer the silver)? How easy would it be to swap the dials, facia, heating controls etc (assuming you had all the donor bits)? Is the wiring the same?

@Sico, it's a BIG job, dials and wiring and fitting are very different. Better remove, sand and repaint your current console.

Something like this :

Phase 1 Also = Cable Throttle, More Supportive Seats imo.
Post 2000 Cars = More Catalytic Converters for Euro 3 compliance. Pre 2000 cars 1 Cat.
