P1 GTV 2.0l ... No power at low revs
I've recently had the head skimmed because of a leaking gasket, and since coming back the power at low revs (upto around 2000) has dropped drastically, needing to rev the engine a fair amount to get it off the line smoothly. especially knowing what it used to be like before the head skimming.
after the 2000-2500 mark it revs quite smoothly and power is smoother and feels alot better.
what could this be? mechanic reckons its due to change in compression after skimming :/ Can the ecu need to be remapped to compensate for this, or is it unavoidable from now on?
I;ve seen some mention of Airflow meters on similar problems, but that seems to affect the midrange rather than the lower rev range...
any advice at this point would be much appreciated
