Breaking 2lt T-spark. Any advice?
After nearly a year of faithful service, my GTV decided it would have some sort of a breakdown. While I was miles from home after working at a music festival, my poor Alfa decided to burst its heater matrix and leak all its coolant into the drivers footwell. This caused it to overheat swiftly and in literally a matter of a minute, the head gasket must have gone. Now it was due an MOT in August anyway and I had to replace the centre section of the exhaust for it to pass anyway along with whatever was discovered. Anyhow, I am left with a car that is too expensive to fix and really not worth it either (I have become too emotionally involved in cars before and it has cost me thousands). So I am left with the option of selling as spares/repairs for very little, or breaking it and making enough back to get something to see me through the winter.
So. I need to know what people usually require from braking. The interior is black leather and in decent nick, body panels are all decent, alloys are okay with a full set of tyres that have covered less than 200 miles (If only I'd left it one more week!) but beyond that I have no idea what people would buy.
I will be doing it all on the street as I dont have a drive or garage, will leave a seat and stuff enough to get it towed to the scrappers where I will remove the last of it. I am very in need of cash so I gotta get what I can.
It's an R reg 2lt t-spark in blue (black bonnet) and standard 16" alloys. If anyone is desperate for anything in particular, let me know. Otherwise I will post link to e-bay when the stuff is up.
Any suggestions/requests are appreciated.
