Car recently had a service and MOT.
Mechanic warned me that the rear discs would need replacing soon as they are worn and pitted (This was confirmed as an advisory on the MOT!)
So my questions are whether to do any kind of upgrade while I am replacing parts anyway.
1) Should I replace the rear disks with drilled / grooved discs? What pads should I fit at the same time. Any idea on how much this would cost.
2) If I am replacing the rear, should I also replace the front discs and pads with the same combo as the rear. What extra would this cost?
3) Should I go the whole hog and get braided hoses too? Again what extra on cost.
4) This would also be an opprotunity to re-paint the calipers as they are very faded!
(Note all cost guesses would need to include fitting as I won't be doing it myself!)
What are the collective forum thoughts?
