Difficulty engaging gears when stopped..
I have a very annoying problem on my car.
Occasionally when the car is stationary it doesn't want to go into gear. This seems to be any gear, but most noticeable first and reverse.
It is most apparent when you are sitting at traffic lights and you need to get in gear and pull away in a hurry. It doesn't crunch at all, it just won't engage unless you are quite forceful.
The car has had a new clutch and gearbox oil quite recently, and other than this the car changes gear fine. The clutch seems to bite at a normal height.
What do you guys think the problem is? I am going to try bleeding the slave cylinder tomorrow to see if that cures it.
(Car is a 5 speed By the way)
You will never be cool driving a Vauxhall.
