Did a search, but can't find anything quite so specific.
I can't do emergency stops! The brake pedal has the right level of shove and the servo is ok. The brakes feel fine for normal use, but no matter how how I push the pedal I can't get a decent stop out of them. They're MOT legal, but the garage acknowledged that they're not great.
I've got drilled and grooved front disks on (only extra £20 and the old ones were shot) and standard pads front and rear. The system has been rebled recently which improved the feel after I did the pads at the back - it was a bit soft. As I said, the servo is functioning normally.
Do I put some better pads on e.g. ferodo ds performance? Do I look at fitting a compensator to improve the pressure on the front calipers?
When I bought the car it stopped properly, so I'm not sure what's affecting it now.
