so say your warranty company picked up the bill? i've got a used car (Lumley) warranty with it - had thought it won't be covered as they are seen as consumables.. was yours a special case or something??</strong><hr /></blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I dunno 'bout a special case
, mine was the Alfacare warranty that the car came with, took it into my local dealer they checked it all out, said they'd spoken to the warranty company who would pick up half the cost IE one side, felt a bit hard done by, had a rant at the warranty company who told me "shut up you're lucky we're offering anything, now do you want us to pay for one side or not?" ... I said 'ok'
I think it's a moot point cos the earlier cars were well known for the rear bush failure and may
have been subject to a recall. The later cars post '97 had modified bush material, my car is a late '97 but had a lot of '98 in it,
if you see what I mean....
They argued it was a wear and tear item, I argued it was design fault thingy... I think I got the best result I could have.
er.. my half was £900 :S
